Start with the dedicated guide, where the evidence is discussed for the actual contaminant and model. Why doesn't this comparison give each product a number?

A score looks precise, but it is not useful unless the weighting, evidence and testing method are disclosed. Filter Authority does not publish unexplained scores. Instead, each option is placed here for a specific use case, with the claim boundary and limitation visible beside it.

Does reverse osmosis automatically mean a filter removes PFAS or lead?

No. Reverse osmosis is a treatment technology, not a substitute for checking the exact model. For a concern such as PFAS or lead, read the current performance data sheet and look for the named substance, certification and test conditions.

Why does this page say ‘check current price’ instead of showing a price?

Retailer prices, promotions, availability and filter costs change. We link directly to the current UK retailer page so that you see the live price before making a decision, rather than relying on a stale figure.

Which option avoids drilling or changing plumbing?

The Osmio Clarity and Osmio Zero 2.0 do not need under-sink plumbing. The Clarity is gravity-fed; the Zero 2.0 is a plug-in countertop RO unit. Check available worktop space, maintenance needs and the current product instructions first.
